Using this website

You may browse the site, view media through the provided players, follow links, download materials offered for download, and contact Bavu about his work. Use the site lawfully and respect other people’s rights.

• Do not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, or bypass security measures.
• Do not use the forms or contact channels for spam, harassment, impersonation, or unlawful content.
• Do not copy, sell, alter, or redistribute content without permission or another lawful basis, or imply an endorsement or affiliation that has not been agreed.

Content, downloads, and third-party rights

Text, photographs, artwork, music, videos, logos, and downloadable materials may be protected by copyright, trademark, or other rights held by Bavu Blakes or other rights holders. Appearing on this website does not mean Bavu owns every item or can authorize every use.

Materials expressly offered for organizers and press may be used for their stated purpose, such as accurately introducing Bavu or promoting an agreed engagement, subject to any accompanying instructions, credits, and permissions. Keep required credits and do not misrepresent the materials. A download is not a blanket license to reproduce, modify, sell, or reuse other website content.

For other uses, or if you are unsure whether a proposed use is authorized, contact bavu@bavublakes.com. These terms do not limit uses allowed by applicable law or separate permissions from the relevant rights holder.

Inquiries are not confirmed bookings

A booking inquiry starts a conversation. Submitting a form, receiving an automated acknowledgment, or discussing a possible event does not confirm a booking, reserve a date, or create an engagement contract. Availability, fit, and scope need to be confirmed separately.

Engagement fees, payment terms, cancellation arrangements, recording permissions, and deliverables belong in a separately agreed engagement contract. Website descriptions and budget options are planning information, not a binding quote or a promise of specific results. These website terms do not replace that contract.

Provide accurate details you are authorized to share. Do not send payment-card details, passwords, sensitive personal information, or identifiable student records through the inquiry form.

Field notes newsletter

Newsletter signup is a separate, optional choice. A booking inquiry does not subscribe you to Field notes. Use an email address you are authorized to subscribe, and follow any confirmation steps shown by the signup service.

You can unsubscribe using the link in newsletter emails. Unsubscribing does not prevent a response to an inquiry you make. Signup and delivery use beehiiv, and participation is also subject to that service’s applicable terms and practices. No fixed publication schedule is promised.

External links and embedded services

The site links to outside websites, including book or music purchases, event tickets, social channels, and related projects. Purchases, ticket availability, payments, refunds, and delivery are handled by the relevant seller or organizer under their own terms, not by a checkout on this website. Check those terms and event details before making a purchase or travel plans.

Embedded video players and newsletter forms are provided by third-party services, including YouTube / Google and beehiiv. Their availability, functionality, and handling of information are subject to their own terms and privacy practices. A link or embed does not transfer their rights or guarantee their content or service.
